Singapore Airlines is Expanding Free Inflight Wi-Fi to All Passengers!

One of the world's top-rated airlines is getting ready to offer free inflight Wi-Fi to everyone onboard – including economy passengers at the back of the plane.
Singapore Airlines rolled out free onboard Wi-Fi to its premium cabin passengers earlier this year. But the airline announced announced Wednesday that all Singapore passengers will get free, unlimited Wi-Fi on nearly all flights starting July 1.
Free Wi-Fi will be available across nearly all of Singapore's aircraft and on virtually all its routes, including long transpacific flights to Singapore (SIN) as well as the airline's routes to Europe like New York City (JFK) to Frankfurt (FRA). Only the airline's Boeing 737-800 NGs flying within Asia are not currently equipped to offer inflight Wi-Fi.
Through June 30, economy passengers will get two free hours of internet while Premium Economy customers will get three hours complimentary. Come July 1, it's free and unlimited for all onboard Singapore.
Free inflight Wi-Fi is available only to passengers who are members of Singapore's KrisFlyer loyalty program , but it's free to sign up for an account. You must enter your KrisFlyer account details during booking or at check-in to get the complimentary Wi-Fi, though you should also be able to sign up for an account once on board your flight and get online for free.

Improving inflight connectivity has been a major goal for airlines across the globe. And free Wi-Fi for first or business class passengers has been a regular perk for years on some carriers like Emirates, Qatar, and others.
But by turning on free unlimited Wi-Fi for all passengers whether you're flying from Singapore to Bangkok (BKK) or all the way from the U.S. to Southeast Asia, Singapore is going further than any other airline.
Delta became the first of the major U.S. airlines to make Wi-Fi free for all earlier this year, but free internet won't be available on Delta's long-haul international routes or on regional jets until the end of 2024. JetBlue beat them all to the punch by offering free gate-to-gate Wi-Fi for years, though it's a fraction the size of other carriers. American and Southwest have both trialed free inflight Wi-Fi recently, and Hawaiian Airlines has said it  plans to launch free high-speed internet access on select transpacific flights through SpaceX's Starlink service sometime this year.

Bottom Line
All passengers on Singapore Airlines will soon be able to enjoy free, unlimited Wi-Fi during their flights – including ultra-long-haul international routes.
Singapore Airlines is rolling out free Wi-Fi for all cabin classes starting July 1, just months after it first announced it would offer complimentary inflight Wi-Fi to its Singapore Suites, first, and business class passengers.
