While you won’t get up close with any really dangerous animals, the Trainer for a Day experience still lets you meet some amazing creatures. Pet a giant tortoise, hold a baby alligator, tour the backstage area where the gators and crocs prepare for the gator jumparoo, and even meet some of the insects and other small reptiles.
The Trainer for a Day experience is available for guests age 12 and up. If you’re afraid of spiders, I’d skip the last portion of the visit as it includes meeting a tarantula.
2. Gatorland Online Ticket Purchase Discount
You can save up to $3 per ticket when you order online directly through Gatorland rather than buy at the gate. There are also options to purchase annual passes and tickets to attractions like the Gatorland Express, the Screamin Gator Zip Line, and the Crock Rock climbing adventure.

3. The Greater Gator Package
