JetBlue Appoints New VP for Financial Planning and Analysis


JetBlue Airways announced the appointment of Melinda Maher to the position of vice president for financial planning and analysis.
Ms. Maher is a former JetBlue employee who is currently a senior finance manager at Amazon in its transportation unit, a positions she has held for two years.  Prior to that, she served as director of financial planning at Alaska Airways for four years and, from 2013 to 2016, was a manager of financial planning at JetBlue.
Prior to joining JetBlue, the first time, she held positions at UBS and Barclays Capital.
In 2007, she joined Southwest Airlines as a flight operations scheduler, where she remained for over two years.
“Melinda and her impressive finance experience both in and outside of our industry will be a significant asset,” said Ursula Hurley, the airline’s chief financial officer.
Ms. Maher holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA in finance from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
