The most frequent question I get asked on Instagram is to know where I took my Barcelona photos. Because there are so many good places to see in Barcelona and things to do, I decided to finally take the time to create a guide to the city’s 25 most Instagrammable spots, based off where I’ve been and also other influencers. In this guide you’ll find some of the best places to visit in Barcelona, from the Sagrada Familia to the Montjuïc Cable Cars. To make it easier for everyone, I’ve also included addresses for each Barcelona photo spot so that they’re easier to find. Happy photo hunting! 1. Casa Padua Address: Carrer de Pàdua, 75, 08006 Barcelona is a city full of photo opportunities! From the Barcelona Cathedral to La Rambla, there are endless spots for snapping pictures. However, one of the most Instagram-worthy places in Barcelona is Casa Padua. This hidden gem is located in El Putxet i el Farró neighborhood, not too far from Park Guell. Thanks to its unique architecture and red and green facade, Casa Padua is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike. So next time you’re in Barcelona, be sure to check out this photogenic spot! 2. Hotel Ayre Rosselló Rooftop Address: Carrer del Rosselló, 390, 08025 This hotel rooftop has maybe the best view of Sagrada Familia that you can get! And bonus, if you stay here, you can book a room with a view of it too (I did and it was glorious). Book your own stay at Hotel Ayre Rossello here ! 3. Café Cometa Address: Carrer del Parlament, 20, 08015 4. Barcelona City Olympic Swimming Pool Address: Avinguda Miramar, 31, 08038 There are actually two public outdoor Olympic swimming pools up on Montjuïc and they both offer stunning views of Barcelona. Piscines Bernat Picornell is open all year around, while Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc is only open in July and August to the public. Unfortunately, the diving section is closed to normal guests, but you can still hang out in the pool and take some epic photos here. It really is one of the best public swimming pool views in the world! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Visit Barcelona (@visitbarcelona) 7. Park Güell Address: 08024 Barcelona, Spain Park Güell is one of the most popular tourist spots in Barcelona, and it’s easy to see why. Park Güell was designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, and it’s a prime example of his signature style. The park is full of colorful mosaics, whimsical sculptures, and breathtaking views of the city. It’s also one of the best places to take pictures in Barcelona. Whether you’re snapping a selfie in front of the iconic dragon fountain or getting a bird’s-eye view of the city from atop Park Güell’s hill, you’re sure to come away with some great photos here. Just make sure to book your visit in advance! 8. Inside Sagrada Família Address: Carrer de Mallorca, 401, 08013 Sagrada Família is one of the top things you must do in Barcelona! It’s an amazing basilica designed by Antoni Gaudí that’s still under construction (but it’s finally almost done!). You can take great photos of it from the outside, but the inside is just as cool. The exterior of the church is covered in intricate carvings, and the inside is equally as impressive. There are incredible stained glass windows and unique sculptures throughout the church. If you’re feeling energetic, you can also buy a ticket to climb one of the towers for panoramic views of Barcelona. Sagrada Família is a must-see when you’re in Barcelona, so make sure to book your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment! 9. Casa Batlló Address: Passeig de Gràcia, 43, 08007 Casa Batlló is an eye-catching work of art, and its unique architecture makes it a popular spot for Instagram shots. But Casa Batlló is more than just a pretty face! The building was designed by Antoni Gaudí, one of the most influential architects of the 20th century and in Barcelona’s history. His unconventional style, which blends elements of Art Nouveau and Modernism, can be seen in Casa Batlló’s curved lines and colorful façade. Today, Casa Batlló is open to the public for a fee, and visitors can explore the building’s many unique features, including its rooftop terrace with sweeping views of Barcelona! 10. La Pedrera / Casa Milà Address: Provença, 261-265, 08008 La Pedrera is yet another popular Gaudí designed spot in Barcelona. If you’re a fan of his architecture, definitely visit and take some photos here! La Pedrera was designed as an apartment building and was originally built between 1906 and 1912. However, it wasn’t until 1984 that it was finally declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. La Pedrera is also home to the La Pedrera Foundation, which aims to promote cultural events and activities related to the building itself. So if you’re looking for a unique place to visit in Barcelona, be sure to add La Pedrera to your list!  View this post on Instagram A post shared by Haley • Austin Travel Blogger (@readysetjetset) 11. Barcelona Cathedral Address: Pla de la Seu, s/n, 08002 Barcelona Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture and is one of the most iconic buildings in the city The cathedral took over 100 years to build and today, Barcelona Cathedral is home to a treasure trove of artworks, including a 14th-century altarpiece by Catalan painter Jaume Huguet. The cathedral also has a beautiful rose window, which is one of the largest in Europe. As well as being a place of worship, Barcelona Cathedral is also a popular venue for concerts and events. Last but not least, you can purchase a ticket to head to the rooftop of the cathedral, which is probably the photo op you’ve seen on Instagram! Besides the rooftop walkways, another popular photo spot is the front facade of the cathedral. 12. Pont del Bisbe Address: Carrer del Bisbe, 1, 08002 The Pont del Bisbe, or Bishop’s Bridge, in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter is a popular photo spot for tourists. And it’s no wonder why – the Neo-Gothic bridge blends in seamlessly with its Medieval surroundings. But here’s a little secret: the Pont del Bisbe was actually constructed in 1928 by Joan Rubió i Bellver. So next time you’re admiring the Pont del Bisbe, take a moment to appreciate the skill of its architect – and to give yourself a pat on the back for being such an observant tourist! 13. Carmel Bunkers Address: Carrer de Marià Labèrnia, s/n, 08032 Barcelona is a city with no shortage of incredible views. From the glimmering Mediterranean to the labyrinthine alleyways of the Gothic Quarter, there’s always something new to see. However, for those looking for a truly unique vantage point, the Bunkers del Carmel are not to be missed. Perched atop a hill in the north of the city, these abandoned anti-aircraft defenses now offer panoramic views of Barcelona’s skyline. On a clear day, you can even see all the way to the nearby Montserrat mountain range. I highly recommend going for sunset! 15. Palau de la Musica Address: C/ Palau de la Música, 4-6, 08003 Palau de la Musica is a concert hall in Barcelona, Spain that is definitely worth a visit – especially if you’re into architecture and/or music. The inside is absolutely beautiful, with its barrel-vaulted ceiling and stained glass skylight. The most Instagram-famous spot to shoot at Palau de la Musica, though, is the colorful balcony. I recommend booking the earliest entry to the building before the balcony gets crowded, as then it can be hard to get a clean photo. Make sure to do the audio tour of the Palau de la Musica as well! 16. La Boqueria Address: La Rambla, 91, 08001 La Boqueria is Barcelona’s oldest and most famous market! The market is a riot of color and activity, with stalls selling everything from fresh fruit to cured meat. The smoothie stalls are particularly popular, with their technicolor concoctions drawing a steady stream of customers. La Boqueria also has several counter-seating eateries, where you can enjoy a quick bite to eat while watching the world go by. Whether you’re looking for some fresh produce or just want to soak up the atmosphere, La Boqueria is definitely worth a visit. 17. The Plant Wall on Carrer de l’Allada-Vermell Address: Carrer de l’Allada-Vermell 12, 08003 18. Arc de Triomf Address: Passeig de Lluís Companys, 08003 If you’re looking for a popular photo spot in the Ciutadella park of Barcelona, you’ll want to check out the Arc de Triomf. This striking monument was designed by architect Josep Vilagras i Casanovas as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair, and it remains one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Not to be confused with the Arc de Triomf in France, this one is smaller and made of red brick. Be sure to add the Arc de Triomf to your list! 19. Tibidabo Amusement Park Address: Plaza del Tibidabo, 3-4, 08035 Tibidabo Amusement Park is a Barcelona institution. Tibidabo’s Panoramic Area is the highest part of the park and from up there, you can see all of Barcelona stretched out before you. Tibidabo also has an aviary, a Ferris wheel, a haunted house, a carousel, and other classic rides. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing day out or an adrenaline-fueled adventure, Tibidabo Amusement Park is definitely worth a visit. And if you’re feeling really adventurous, you can even take the Tibidabo Funicular Railway up to the park! View this post on Instagram A post shared by Michael Tomas (@londonviewpoints) 20. Brunch & Cake Address: Enric Granados, 19, 08017 21. Platja de la Barceloneta Address: Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta, 16, 08003 Platja de la Barceloneta is one of the most popular beaches in Barcelona. This world-famous stretch of sand is located in the heart of the city, and it is the perfect place to soak up the Mediterranean sun. But Platja de la Barceloneta isn’t just a pretty face. It also has a long and fascinating history. The beach was originally created in the 18th century, when the city decided to use landfill to create new land. This process continued into the 19th century, and by the early 20th century, Platja de la Barceloneta had become one of the most popular beaches in Barcelona. Today, Platja de la Barceloneta is still a popular spot for locals and tourists alike! Designed by Antoni Gaudi, it was built between 1883 and 1885 and is considered to be one of the first examples of Art Nouveau architecture. Casa Vicens is notable for its elaborate brickwork and Moorish-inspired motifs. It was originally commissioned as a summer home for a wealthy family, but it is now open to the public as a museum for an entrance fee (and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site!). Visitors can tour the inside of the house, which has been restored to its original condition, and I highly recommend taking a photo in the outside area (the tiles are very photogenic). Casa Vicens is a must-see for anyone interested in architecture or design! 23. Parc de la Ciutadella Address: Passeig de Picasso, 21, 08003 Parc de la Ciutadella is home to a wide variety of plant life, as well as a lake, a waterfall, and a fountain. In addition, the park is home to the Barcelona Zoo, which is one of the oldest zoos in Europe. Parc de la Ciutadella is an ideal place to spend a day enjoying the outdoors, and if the weather is nice, you’ll see a lot of locals hanging out there soaking up the sun. If you’re looking for the most popular photo spot here, check out the Cascada Monumental (fun fact: Gaudi designed the water tank and hydraulics). The fountain is loosely based on Rome’s Trevi Fountain and is really a showstopper. 24. Trópico Address: Carrer del Marquès de Barberà, 24, 08001 View this post on Instagram A post shared by Haley • Austin Travel Blogger (@readysetjetset)
