New Year's Eve at Trencher's Spanish City Children of all ages are welcome to join you between 4pm-6:30pm when the dome will be filled with family friendly entertainment, a balloon modeller and magician. Then later in the evening, children aged 12+ are welcome to join their families for celebrations from 7pm onwards where entertainment will include a table magician and pianist. Laser Lights City, Newcastle This FREE Laser Show will once again light up the sky on NYE with three incredible light and music shows planned for 2023. Find out more here. New Year's Eve Party at Gosforth Civic Theatre This popular party takes place from 2pm-4pm or 4pm-6pm. Expect a DJ, kids crafts, snacks, bar and a 'countdown' to NYE. New Year's Eve Family Party at DoubleTree Hilton Newcastle Airport You can expect party games and a mini disco for kids from 7pm followed by a buffet and live DJ right through until 1am. Your ticket includes UNLIMITED soft drinks for kids too. Find out more and book here. New Year's Eve Ice Skating Ice rinks are open on NYE and a family skate is a nice way to end the New Year. New Year's Eve Panto Lots of families like to book a trip to their local panto on NYE and I think this is a lovely idea and is something nice to look forward to. Allendale Tar Bar'l This traditional festival is definitely something a little different. 45 men carry burning barrels of whisky through the town whilst wearing colourful fancy dress. The parade begins at 11:30pm when the barrels are lit and ends at the Bar'l bonfire which is lit using the burning barrels. Free to attend with no booking required. Find out more here. New Year's Eve Kids Disco & Party at Longacre, Skelton The Longacre at Skelton is hosting a Kids NYE Disco and party this year from 5pm-8pm. Find out more here. Blue Flames New Year's Eve Party New Year's Eve at Tynemouth Castle Inn The highly anticipated Tynemouth Castle Inn is due to open this Autumn. For NYE, you can enjoy a set menu and live music from The Pretty Weeds - a female fronted band guaranteed to get you dancing. Adults are £50pp and kids are £25pp. Check menus and book here.
