Stop in to pick your own pumpkins with the kiddos at Secor Farms in Bergen County. Kids will love the petting zoo here as well as the hay maze. They sell seasonal decor as well as apples, cider, and homemade donuts.



Public hayrides don’t require a reservation on weekdays, but they do on weekends. Picking season starts mid September, and runs until Halloween. Visit weekdays from 3pm – 5pm, and weekends from 10am – 4pm.

Demarest Farm in Hillsdale

Demarest Farm offers a season a little bit longer than some of other locations. Running from the end of September through November, the fields here also you to pick pumpkins and apples daily. They also have a petting zoo, hay rides, and even a Halloween Light Show!



You do need to head to the farm’s website to make a reservation before you visit. The farm is open from 8AM – 5PM weekends as well as Thursday and Friday from 1 – 4:30PM.

From the end of September through the end of October, Abma’s Farm offers pick-your-own pumpkins as well as hayrides to the patch. Several packages are available to meet your needs including a public hayride and barnyard package, a private hayride and barnyard package and a school/group package.



Your kids will want to visit the petting zoo where they can feed  goats, sheep, cows, alpaca, and bunnies. There are also pony rides for the little ones.



Purchase hayride tickets online before your visit for everyone over the age of two, (you’ll need a ride, the field is not reachable by foot). Visit from 1 – 4PM on Thursdays and Fridays, and Saturdays from 9AM – 4PM. No pets are allowed.

Visit from the third week of September through the month of October, head to Fairfield Farms and take a hayride with the family to gather pumpkins. Hayrides start at 1PM and end at 5PM on weekdays. Weekends they run from 10AM – 5:30PM.



You may also take purchase someJersey-fresh produce, snacks and seasonal decor for fall. Hayrides, pumpkin picking, corn maze, Big Bale Mountain, rope maze, the Rolling Tube Ride, and pumpkin slingshot add to the fun here, as well as the Spooky Trail hayride at night. Daytime hayrides are $6 and evening hayrides are $12. Both can be reserved online .

Alstede Farms is a great place to gather the perfect fall produce and flowers to make your home beautiful. Pick-Your-Own Entry Tickets should be purchased ahead of time and include a specific container that you must put your picked goodies in. Entry tickets purchased at the farm will cost $8 more.



Your entry ticket includes access to our pick your own areas with an associated container, the cost of the produce to fill said containers, scenic hay wagon rides around the farm, and access to the hay pyramid, corn maze, evergreen maze, and blooming giants sunflower trail is also included with your entry ticket.



The farm also has animals to pet, pony rides, a bouncy house, wagon train rides, live music on weekends, wine and hard cider tastings and hot food and sweets.



Each ticket for a pumpkin is equal to a credit of $7.99 which will be applied at checkout. Pick-your-own hours are weekdays: 11AM – 3PM, and weekends and holidays from 10AM – 4PM.

Hacklebarney Farms is a pretty farm is open for PYO pumpkins Thursday through Sundays from 10am-5pm, and the season runs from September through the end of October.

Fall brings the fun of a giant corn maze, rides, games, a play area and large variety of activities for all ages to Stony Hill Farms. Tickets are available online and purchasing online will give you a savings of $3 per ticket.



The picking season opens in September and runs through the end of October and PYO fields are open from 10AM – 5PM. Walk to the pumpkin fields or pick from the selection at the farm market. Hayrides are also available around the farm for scenic views and a fun fall tradition. This year they have added an apple cannon which is sure to be a hit!

Additional attractions like the apple cannon, paintball, gem mining, pony rides, and wine tasting are available for an additional fee.Live entertainment starts at noon and there;’s a stunt dog show as well as tons of things to see and do.



Hayrides to the pick-your-own fields run every weekend, Columbus Day and every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in October from 12pm-5pm. Children ages two and under are always free.

The fun begins at Conklin Farm at the end of September and continues through November. Every weekend through October, Richfield Farms gives you the opportunity to pick pumpkins at this complete garden center just off of the Green State Parkway. Visit weekdays and Saturdays from 8am-6pm, Sunday from 9am-5pm.



Fresh local and organic produce, seasonal gift shop and special events make this a great place to visit. They also hold a Harvest Fest in October with live music and fun games and activities for the whole family.

Schaefer Farms has been a member of the farming community for four generations. Families are encouraged to hop on a scenic hayride to their 40+ acres of home grown pumpkins. Pumpkin patch season begins the last weekend in September and runs every weekend in October from 11AM – 4PM.



Children under eight ride free as do veterans, The entrance fee gives you access to the hayride to 40 acres of pumpkins, corn maze, hay maze, and an option to feed the farm animals. Children under eight ride for free, as do veterans. The farm stand here is also filled with mums, fall decorations, cider, fresh baked pies, breads and goodies.



Farm Of Horrors  runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday Night in October. It includes the Trail of Terror, Hayride of Horror, Massacre Maize, and Carnevil of Chaos. Obviously, this event is better for older kids who love a good scare.

New jersey’s largest apple orchard is a great place enjoy some fall fun! Pick apples and pumpkins, enjoy tractor wagon rides on weekends, play on the tractor tire playground, do the corn maze, see cute goats, picnic, enjoy fresh baked goods, and see 200 acres of working farm land at Melick’s Town Farm .



Online reservation are encouraged. Picking is open from 9am-6pm daily into November with the last entry at 5pm. Entry is just $4 during the week and $6 on weekends.

The end of September brings the opening of fall fun to Oasis Family Farm and it continues through the end of October. Come delight in this incredibly kid-friendly farm which has a Little Kids Monster Trail, the FunZone and gem mining, and fossil adventure which keep the smaller children occupied with fun while adults can delight in cider donuts and sunflower cutting .



Of course there are also wagon rides and the pumpkin patch. The patch is open Monday through Friday from 11AM – 4PM but the additional fun is only on weekends when the farm is open from 10AM – 5PM.

During the weekend evenings the farms transforms into a Scare Farm with a haunted hayride and two scary walking trails.

Mid September through the end of October bring families the opportunity to visit all the fun at Bullock Farms . Hayrides here are 25 minutes long and amble thought he picturesque farm. They bring you to the pumpkin field where you can pick all you need for fall as well as gourds and ornamental squash. Look for scarecrows, ghosts and witches along the ride.



The Bullock Barnyard offers fun for littles including a corn crib sand box, a straw mountain they can climb, and a kids maze. Visit donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, and ducks as well as the six-acre corn maze.
