Student Visa
As it sounds, this is a visa that will allow someone to study in the USA , whether they have been accepted into a college or are looking to study in the US. A student visa will take a month or two to process, including interviews. So once accepted to study in America, it is worth applying for the visa immediately.
U Visa
A U visa is a specific type of visa that allows someone to travel to the USA with a nonimmigrant status. This type of visa is set aside for people who are escaping a country due to being a victim of certain crimes, those who have been physically or mentally abused, or people at risk of this if they stay in their home country.

People who apply for this visa must work with law enforcement and local government in any investigation for the crimes or activities that have been highlighted when applying. With this visa, a person can work; a U visa comes with a work permit.
On average, the current U visa work permit waiting time 2022 is 12 to 18 months. Due to the processing time, it is essential to work with law enforcement and ensure that all forms are filled out fully and correctly.
