Where I Buy My Plus Size Swimwear

One of the most common things I get asked on both Instagram and TikTok is ‘where do you get your plus size swimwear?’

I know just how hard it can be to find swimwear that not only fits well, but makes you feel good and so I wanted to share a list of all of the places I shop for dreamy fits. Buckle up, sun-seekers, it’s time to find your perfect poolside match.

So, Where Do I Buy My Plus Size Swimwear?

In The Style

My absolute favourite place to buy swimwear and where most of my collection is currently from is In The Style, specifically the Jess On The Plus Size range by Jess Millichamp.

Jess is a plus size gal herself and so within her designs, she thinks about ABSOLUTELY everything. Both the bikini’s and one piece’s are super supportive in the top and have incredible coverage in the bottom, with stunning patterns and designs for every taste. If you feel more comfortable wearing something that covers a little more, this is definitely the range for you.

Jess launches new swimwear ranges every summer, including cover ups and other beach wear. They sell out quite quickly, so the best thing to do is follow her to see when the next range will be launching. She’ll give plenty of notice! There are a few things left on the website currently, however, the sizing is sporadic.

ASOS

ASOS is a great place to look for plus size swimwear as they not only stock their own brand, but lots of other brands too.

ASOS Design, their own brand, is one of the more affordable places to get swimwear and I find that often, they have a sale on making it even cheaper. When it comes to bikinis, they do great mix and match options so you can pick and choose the style of top and bottoms you want, depending on how comfortable you are.

Some of the other brands stocked on ASOS include South Beach, Ivory Rose, River Island, Pink Soda, We Are We Wear, Topshop, COLLUSION, Brave Soul and Vera Moda.

New Look

I tried New Look on a whim one day and was actually pleasantly surprised by their swimwear! Although there are not many options, checking back every now and again is worth it as you may find some gems. After summer they also have some great sales, I think this bikini was around £12.50 when I bought it.

Elomi

Elomi is definitely on the pricier side when it comes to swimwear, but it is incredibly supportive as they’re designed by a company that primarily sells underwear. The sizes are based on your bra size rather than your clothes size, so bear that in mind when ordering.

I don’t wear Elomi swimwear often but the few pieces that I do have are ones that have lasted me for years, as they’re such high quality.

Yours Clothing

Yours Clothing is a go-to for a lot of plus size people in the UK when it comes to clothing, but they also sell great swimwear. While a few of the styles are a little out of touch, I find that the bikinis are great. They’re super comfortable and great to throw on under an outfit if you don’t know if you’re going to get a chance to swim or not during the day. They don’t have as much bust support, but for me, that’s what makes them more comfortable.

SimplyBe

SimplyBe, similarly to ASOS, stock a number of different swimwear brands on their website. Their own range is usually the cheaper option, but they do have a good range of others to choose from too.

Not all brands stock larger sizes so I would suggest searching by size, rather than brand.

Other brands include MAGISCULPT, Figleaves, Ann Summers, Joe Browns, Panache, Joanna Hope and Fantasie.

Light Ldn

Light Ldn is a brand that is new to me over the past year, but one that I love as it pushes me out of my comfort zone a little. With higher cut fits, Light Ldn proves that plus size people can wear the same styles as everyone else and look just as good.

Snag Tights

Snag Tights is not only known for their amazing tights and chub rub shorts, but they also have an awesome swimwear collection too. Although I feel at times the choices are a little basic as there are hardly any patterned options, they’re great for those ‘staple’ pieces you wear time and time again.

Boohoo

Boohoo is my favourite place to buy beach coverups. They always have a wide range and I find that they can be super generous with sizing (apart from the crochet ones).
