15 Things to Do for Easter in San Diego (2024) from Bunnies to Brunches

Spring is in the air, and with that comes the beloved Easter celebrations across the county. This year includes plenty of delicious brunch options in some of San Diego’s most beautiful hotels, many of which will get a visit from the Easter Bunny and host Easter egg hunts.



1. Flagship Cruises Easter Brunch Cruise



Join Flagship Cruises for a special 2.5-hour Easter Brunch harbor cruise. Sip bottomless Champagne and mimosas in addition to sweet and savory options from the gourmet brunch menu, including fresh local seafood and a carving station. There’s live music, and you’ll be surrounded by spectacular harbor views. These cruises board at 990 North Harbor Drive in Downtown San Diego . Choose from either a morning or afternoon cruise.

2. Hornblower’s Easter Premier Brunch Cruises



On Sunday, March 31, Hornblower Cruises will offer an 2 hour Easter Brunch harbor cruise featuring a buffet meal including dessert, free-flowing champagne, mimosas and sparkling cider, a visit from the Easter bunny, and live entertainment. A VIP cruise option allows guests to enjoy a few extra perks, such as a guaranteed window table.

3. Easter Bunny at Seaport Village







This year, Seaport Village is celebrating Easter early with a Beach Bunny Kite Festival. On Saturday, March 23rd, the bayside Village will be full of Easter-themed activities, including photo ops with the Easter Bunny on his 10-foot wave prop.



Kite Flite will also be offering free kite rentals. The Seaport Village Easter fun starts at 11 a.m. and goes on until 4 p.m.



4. Easter Brunch at La Valencia Hotel



La Valencia Hotel , La Jolla’s pink lady gets into the Easter spirit with panoramic ocean views, an Easter three-course menu that you can, of course, pair with a seafood tower. Festive entree favorites will include Cascade Braised Lamb Shoulder or Honey Blossom Glazed Ham, followed by carrot cake with strawberry cream frosting.



Head out to the hotel’s beautiful grounds afterward for a family photo with the ocean and La Jolla Cove in the background.

5. Easter Events at Hotel del Coronado



Ballroom brunch : Opt for a lavish Easter brunch in the elegant Southpointe Ballroom at Hotel del Coronado . You’ll enjoy a chilled seafood bar, various regional and international cuisines and dishes in addition to carving stations. An exquisite dessert bar and a glass of champagne will follow. You may want to fit brunch in around the Easter Egg Hunt on the beach outside the hotel, which will be held at both 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Easter roasts : The Del is also offering one-hour Easter Roast packages from March 28 – 31. Snuggle up around your own fire pit on the beach with loved ones, tuck your toes in the sand, and enjoy an Easter basket full of special treats, s’mores ingredients, and other goodies. You can purchase extra food to bring down to your firepit from the hotel’s at ENO Market & Pizzeria or the Beach + Taco Shack.

6. Rancho Bernardo Inn Easter Brunches



You have a couple of choices for celebrating Easter at Rancho Bernardo Inn .



Avant : A four-course Champagne brunch will come with bottomless Veuve du Vernay Brut sparkling wine. Delicious entree options include crab, avocado and caviar omelet, New York strip, or Alaskan King crab legs.

7. Rancho Valencia Easter Brunch



Enjoy a delectable brunch with Rancho Valencia’s famed raw bar alongside carving stations and gourmet salads. The dessert bar will be a sugary feast for the eyes, and you can head outside afterwards for some outdoor fun including pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, and more. 8. Estancia La Jolla Easter Brunch



The hotel’s Mustang & Burros restaurant is hosting this year’s Easter brunch, which was curated by Executive Chef Augie Saucedo. The spectacular spread includes a host of gourmet meat, fruit, egg, and bakery breakfast dishes, followed by lunch options including seafood and chicken dishes plus a carving station.



Estancia La Jolla’s stunning gardens will host two Easter egg hunts and will also feature a visit from the Easter Bunny.

9. Fairmont Grand Del Mar Easter Events



Fairmont Grand Del Mar is one of our most popular resorts for family trips to San Diego and they’re celebrating Easter in incredible style with four different options and experiences to join in the fun.

10. The Cottage (La Jolla & Encinitas)



Both locations of this popular eatery will be hosting a special brunch on Easter Sunday. If you’re a seafood fan, you’ll love the menu featuring a special fresh-caught lobster benedict with Champagne hollandaise with their famed Cottage potatoes on the side.



Kids will be entertained while you feast with a mini egg hunt around the restaurant. This is one of our favorite La Jolla breakfast restaurants .

11. Easter Champagne Brunch at Bahia Resort Hotel



Easter Sunday brunch festivities will be held in the Dockside 1953 restaurant at the Bahia Resort Hotel. Guests will enjoy a seafood bar, custom-made waffles and omelets, and a glazed ham carving station, plus bottomless champagne for the adults.



The fun continues with live entertainment, an Easter Egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, and arts and crafts for the kids.

12. Loews Coronado Bay Egg Hunt & Brunch



Loews Coronado Bay is offering an alfresco Easter brunch this year in its Bayside Terrance restaurant. You’ll be treated to spectacular bay views as you dine on a lavish buffet with a bit of everything, including pastries, pho noodles, paella, avocado toast, and bagel bar, carving stations, amazing desserts, and more. 



After eating, children can enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt in the resort’s waterfront gardens, say hi to the Easter Bunny, and decorate bunny ears or have their faces painted.

13. 20|Twenty (Carlsbad)



If you’re heading to North County San Diego for Easter, a great option is 20|Twenty in Carlsbad. You can book a table at the eatery’s scenic outside patio to celebrate Easter in classic coastal style.



You’ll enjoy the restaurant’s renowned menu offerings that feature locally sourced flavors with food combinations curated by the season. And for the little ones, the Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo ops and the restaurant is also hosting an Easter Egg hunt.

14. Rumerosa Easter Brunch at Sheraton San Diego



Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina’s brand new eatery Rumorosa will host the hotel’s Easter Buffet this year. Gastronomic highlights include Chef Cesar Oceguera’s Cali-Baja-inspired breakfast items, including mini Concha Breakfast Sandwiches, as well as a fresh seafood bar, carved Barbacoa Leg of Lamb, and a crepe station.



Tickets include a welcome beverage and complimentary self-parking for up to three hours. Live entertainment and the Easter Bunny will be on hand to keep things lively, and the hotel will host easter egg hunts on the Harbor Vista Lawn at both12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

15. Sunday Breakfast Society High Tea



This family-friendly breakfast and lunch favorite is celebrating Easter by offering a special high tea . Expect a traditional tower of savory and sweet goodies featuring amazing pastries, all washed down with tea and sparkling wine.



The restaurant usually closes at 3 p.m. but it’s open for Easter high tea sittings from both 3–5 p.m. and 6– 8 p.m.



Easter Brunch at San Diego Zoo (TBD)



There is usually some sort of Easter brunch or activity at San Diego Zoo but the details aren’t out yet. You will still need admission and I have advice for buying discount San Diego Zoo tickets and the best price online.
