The San Antonio Riverwalk is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States, and it’s no wonder why. This beautiful 2.5-mile stretch along the San Antonio River offers a unique experience of both culture and nature, giving visitors the chance to explore some of San Antonio’s top attractions while also enjoying stunning views of the river. But with so many places to stay on or near the riverwalk, it can be hard to choose where to stay! For those seeking a sanctuary of wellness and pampering, the Mokara Hotel & Spa stands out as a luxurious retreat on the San Antonio River. But what truly sets Mokara apart is its full-service spa, offering a range of treatments that promise relaxation and rejuvenation. I made time to go to the spa and was so thankful I did, it was wonderful. Located next door to the best restaurants and historic sites, Mokara is an upscale hotel that caters to those who seek the finest in hospitality.
I stayed here on my most recent visit to San Antonio. I was there for a conference that was taking place at the conference center. It’s within walking distance and it was so nice each morning walking over but a bit too hot in the afternoon so I Ubered!  Check current rates.

I stayed here with the kids several years ago and at the time there was no complimentary breakfast so that’s a nice addition. Check current rates.
Marriott Riverwalk San Antonio

Two things I really like about this particular hotel. One, there is a parking garage next door that is way cheaper than the hotel. Valeting in San Antonio is not cheap! Second, There is a chair that you can basically sleep on, so if you’ve got five people you can still stay here. Also, I wish I had taken a photo of our room. It looks nothing like the one pictured here. Maybe the remodeled. Check current rates on Marriott .

Last time I stayed here I stayed with all three kids and my mom. They have a lot of room types including rooms big enough to accommodate five people. Check current rates .
