Mexico has always been one of my favorite places to travel for a budget-friendly yet fulfilling vacation. Whether on a girls trip, as a solo traveler and even as a single mom traveling with my son, it has always checked all of my boxes for an incredible, action-packed trip. In fact, I loved Mexico so much for my son and I that we chose to make Puerto Vallarta our home!



Mexico offers it all: Beautiful beaches, cultural experiences, historic sites, adventurous activities and to-die-for food. The best part of it all is that Mexico is fairly inexpensive and there are a host of all-inclusive resorts, so you always know before you go how much it will cost.

I know my son would absolutely love the fact that there are grown-up free indoor zones where he can freely tell me, “No parents allowed!”



Kids can also enjoy services at the spa and salon with special menus and treatments designed just for them. There’s even toys and books to keep them entertained while getting serviced. For parents like me with one child, it’s a perfect way to spend some one-on-one time with their child!



Older kids and adults can get active with water sports such as kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding or water polo. Or, keep dry with a game of table tennis or volleyball.
