Save on Your Next Rideshare(s) with New Lyft Amex Offer

American Express Offers are some of our favorite ways to save on travel … or almost anything. Here's an easy way to save on your next rides to and from the airport: Spend $50 or more on Lyft rides and you'll get $15 back.
This offer popped up recently on many (but not all) Amex cards, and it's still around if you want to take advantage for a cheaper Lyft ride. Just book directly through the Lyft mobile app before Aug. 15 and pay with your eligible card to receive this one-time statement credit back. Critically, you can hit that $50 threshold over several Lyft rides: Two $25 rides or even five $10 rides would trigger this offer to save $15.
Offers like this are targeted , so they won't be available for every cardholder. That said, we're seeing it on many co-branded Amex cards with Delta Air Lines and Hilton – but not Amex Membership Rewards cards like the *amex gold* – though your mileage may vary. If you see it, just add it to your Amex card now and ask questions later.

If you haven't used Amex Offers before, think of them as digital coupons exclusively for Amex cardholders for purchases like airfare or hotels as well as dining, entertainment, or everyday shopping. Add one of these to your Amex card, use that card to make an eligible purchase, and Amex will give you money right back for the discount within a few days as a statement credit on your account. Just log in to your American Express account and see if you can add it to your Amex card.
This promotion is valid for all bookings made through the Lyft mobile app. And again, this offer doesn't need to be completed in one transaction. As with all Amex offers, you can reach the spending requirement over multiple transactions.

Stack With Delta SkyMiles Rideshare Credit!
If you've got a Delta co-branded Amex card, you can stack this Amex Offer with a new benefit on your card to save even more.
Back when it raised annual fees on each card by another $100 a year, Amex also added new monthly credits of $10 for rideshare companies to both the *delta reserve card* and the *delta skymiles platinum card* . Add this new Amex Offer to your card and pay for your next few Lyft rides, and you can get up to $25 back total!

After making an eligible transaction, you should receive an email confirmation that you earned the credit. You might have to wait up to eight weeks for the statement credit to hit your account. That said, we've seen the rideshare credit appear on statements within two weeks (or just a few days) of making a qualifying purchase.

Where to Find Amex Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits (this is available through the Amex mobile app as well). If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card.
You should receive a statement credit for the offer within a few days of making a purchase.

Bottom Line
Amex Offers are great because they’re basically free money for spending you might be doing anyhow. It's also another way to justify the cost of your credit card's annual fee. Make sure to check your various American Express credit cards because each one can have different offers.
However, it looks like this Lyft Amex offer is pretty widely available, making it one of our favorite money-saving strategies for booking a rideshare for less. These offers change almost daily, so add this one now before it disappears – and use it before the Aug. 15 deadline.
