There are plenty of places across the United States that you need to add to your must see travel list. Philadelphia is one such place. As a prominent industrial and educational hub of this country. It has a number of amazing attractions and exciting things to do and see.

There are plenty of reasons to visit Philly when you are on your next vacation, so let’s take a look at some of those reasons below.

Reading Terminal Market. One of the oldest closed markets in Philadelphia, established in 1893, is Reading Terminal Market . Did you know? It started out in a train shed at the Reading Railroad Company. The changes and expansions it has gone through over time is amazing to see. If you love cooking, then a visit to this market is an absolute must and it’s super handy if you’re staying in a fully fitted apartment. You’ll smell everything from the handmade confection to fresh meat, and most of the things you’ll find here are locally grown. You’ll also be able to find seafood, several Amish specialties, and exotic produce, which is perfect if you love to cook. Moving away from the food in the market, there are stalls that sell cookbooks, kitchenware and homemade table linens.
The Please Touch Museum. Take the kids to Philadelphia with you, because the Please Touch Museum is the Children’s Museum of Philadelphia and it has been for almost 50 years. Over the past few decades, the museum has welcomed in over 2,000,000 visitors and has become one of the premier children’s museums of the United States. The main aim is to get kids. Learning in a hands-on environment. There are 6 interactive exhibit zones at the museum, and four out of those six have been designed for children aged 3 and younger, so even the little ones can come along.
Wissahickon Valley Park. This famous park stretches across over 2000 acres of Parkland in Philadelphia. It forms a trail that follows the Forbidden Drive Creek through the entire length of the park. Cyclists, equestrians and pedestrians frequent here. And most interestingly, there are several historical features in the park, including homes that are currently owned by notable locals. It’s definitely the place to be if you’re looking to explore a little history of Philadelphia while you visit.
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. For those who love art and nature, Philadelphia’s Magic Garden awaits. There is a feature of an extensive gallery space on South St. and the gardens happen to be the largest work that is ever created by Isaiah Zagar. There’s indoor galleries and a massive outdoor labyrinth maze. Getting stuck in here is going to get you lost all day, but you’re going to be more lost in magic than anything else.
