5. Cyprus

I absolutely LOVED Cyprus! It has a bit of a dark history which you can still see remnants of, but even that is so fascinating to learn about! You can explore the tantalizing blue sea coves and beaches in the south (don’t miss the underwater statue park), while also having fun in a prominent party scene.

You can also cross the border into the northern Turkish occupied area of Cyprus, for a completely different perspective of the island. If you’re up for it, check out the abandoned city of Varosha , which was completely vacated by force in the 1970’s and hardly touched since. You can now rent old bikes to explore this ghost-city.

Cyprus provides a digital nomad visa for one year with a monthly income requirement of €3,800 and an application fee of €75.

6. NEW! Digital Nomad Visa for Italy

While recently attempting to get literally any long term visa for Italy so I could stay living with my fiance in Sardinia, someone sent me a link with new information for a digital nomad visa in Italy!

Unfortunately for me, you need to apply for it from your country of residence, so I couldn’t get it anyway, but if you haven’t left home yet, you can!

You basically need to just prove you make more than about $30k per year, have a criminal background check, show proof of health insurance and housing (which is confusing since how are you supposed to find housing before moving there), and a long list of other fun things.

Here’s the full list and how to apply for a digital nomad visa in Italy.

7. E-Resident Visa in Estonia

If classic northern European architecture and cooler weather is your preference, Estonia is the place for you to work remotely!

Known for its digital innovation and medieval charm, Estonia offers a visa for up to one year with a minimum annual income requirement of €37,000. The application fee ranges from €85 to €105, depending on the length of stay. You should apply for the digital nomad visa if you have an employer.

Everyone loves Iceland . It’s hard to find someone who says they didn’t have an awesome time there! To stay there long term on the other hand, might be a different story, but I’m sure there are some people who would highly prefer the cool temperatures and lush nature landscapes!

Ideal for high-income remote workers, Iceland offers a remote worker visa for six months with a high monthly income requirement of €7,763. The application fee is about €96.
