Another Chase Sapphire Lounge is on the Way in Los Angeles (LAX)

Chase has yet another airport lounge in the works, this one slated to open at Los Angeles (LAX). 
Public documents from the airport board show Chase plans to open a Sapphire Lounge at the massive Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX. According to the Los Angeles Times , the 9,234-square-foot lounge will be located near Gate 148 and include views of the tarmac and plenty of local touches. 
An opening date has not been announced, and there are few details about what's on tap in Los Angeles. But if it's anything like the bank's first U.S. lounge in Boston (BOS), it should be a smash hit. Travelers can safely expect both a buffet and a la carte ordering via mobile, cozy spaces to sit, thoughtful designs, a top-notch bar program, and more.
Chase did not immediately respond to questions regarding the proposed Sapphire Lounge at LAX, including when it might open. 
 
The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston
 
The airport lounge wars are in full swing between banks like Chase, American Express, and Capital One. But Chase is starting to lap the field with building out these branded lounges faster than its competitors. 
The bank behind popular travel cards like the *chase sapphire preferred* and the *chase sapphire reserve* opened its first three U.S. locations in Boston (BOS) , New York-La Guardia (LGA), and New York-JFK (JFK) within just over a year. But a whopping seven more locations are also in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, Capital One had a two-year head start in the lounge game but still has just three (admittedly excellent) Capital One Lounges open to date. Its first location in Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) opened in 2021 while two more locations in Washington-D.C.-Dulles (IAD)  and Denver (DEN) opened late last year. The bank has two more lounges on the way, including a recently announced addition in New York City (JFK) .
In fact, Chase beat out the Plaza Premium Group – the company behind Capital One Lounges – to secure the space at LAX, according to public documents. 
News of a Chase Sapphire Lounge at LAX will be welcome news for travelers with the Sapphire Reserve card in their wallets traveling through Los Angeles – the terminal currently has no Priority Pass lounges. Sapphire Reserve cardholders get unlimited complimentary visits to Chase lounges thanks to their Priority Pass memberships, along with up to two free guests.
Travelers with a Priority Pass membership from other cards like *amex platinum* or the *venture x* also get one free pass into a Chase Sapphire Lounge each calendar year.
It'll be easy for many travelers departing Los Angeles for lands abroad to access, as the Tom Bradley terminal is where most of the major international carriers fly in and out. The terminal is already home to several airline lounges as well as an Amex Centurion Lounge.
