‘Merrily We Roll Along’ and ‘The Outsiders’ Win Best Musical Tony Awards
The 77th Tony Awards ceremony took place Sunday evening, at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City with “The Outsiders” taking home the prize for best new musical, Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along” winning as best musical revival, while “Stereophonic” won for best play.  “Appropriate,” meanwhile, won the Tony for best revival of a play.
Groff and Daniel Radcliffe, two of the three primary cast members in “Merrily,” won Tony Awards for best lead actor and best featured actor in a musical, respectively, while Maleah Joi Moon won a Tony for best lead actress in a musical for her performance in “Hell’s Kitchen.” Sarah Paulson, who starred in “Appropriate,” won a Tony for best lead actress. Jeremy Strong won a Tony for best lead actor in a play for his part in the revival of “An Enemy of the People.”
Mass Shooting in Michigan Injures Nine
Nine people, including two children, were injured in a mass shooting at the Brooksland Plaza Splash Pad, located in a  city park in Oakland County, Michigan.
One of the victims, an 8-year-old boy, was struck in his head by a bullet and hospitalized in critical condition, the sheriff of  Oakland County, Michael Bouchard, said at a news conference.
The shooter was identified by Bouchard as 42-year-old Michael William Nash, who killed himself at a house in nearby Shelby Township. Nash appears to have indiscriminately fired after he drove up to the splash pad and got out of his automobile.

Diddy, Go Home
Disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs his key to the city after having been requested to do so by New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The request came after Combs was seen in a security video obtained by CNN physically assaulting his wife. The assault took place in 2016.
Combs was first awarded the key last September.
Hizzoner said that he was “deeply disturbed” by footage of the assault, which showed Combs walking behind his former wife near an elevator, grabbing her, and throwing her onto the ground. He then appeared to kick her twice and drag her by her sweatshirt.
This Week’s Weather to Include Record-Breaking Heating and Snow
The Midwest and Northeast of the United States are in for a potentially record-breaking heatwave this week while the Rockies… will get heavy snow.
“Diverse pattern across the country with accumulating heavy wet snow across the northern Rockies into the new week,” the National Weather Service said in a  statement Sunday evening,. “Meanwhile, deep tropical moisture is expected to move ashore across the Gulf Coast States with the threat of heavy rainfall. This threat extends into the upper Midwest where flash flooding and a few severe storms. In addition, a heat wave is building from the Plains into Northeast,” the NWS added.
Electric Vehicle Prices Continue to Plummet
A used electric vehicle now sells, on average for thousands of dollars less than a comparable, internal-combustion powered automobile.
Last June, the price premium for a used EV was roughly 25% the price for a comparable gas- or diesel-powered vehicle. Today, used battery-electric vehicles cost 8% less, a fairly significant flip.
