Apple Weather App Is Down But Starting to Return for Some

An Apple Weather app screen shot taken Tuesday morning
If you want to know whether it’s raining, you’ll have to look out the window:  The Apple Weather app is down for many users across the globe.
Unlike when it’s working, the app showed no temperature, no forecasts, displaying only a blank screen aside from the city and two dashes where the temperature should be.
The same was the case for FBT and Travelist staff in Munich and Tel Aviv.
“Wetter nicht verfügbar” (“Weather not available), the app said, according to our office in Munich, after indicating on the very top of the app that it was trying to load information.
The Apple System Status dashboard showed an “ongoing” issue with the app that began at 2 a.m. EDT on Tuesday.
“Some users are affected,” Apple said. “Next-hour precipitation may be unavailable for Alaska due to a data provider outage.”
