20 Photos That Will Make You Want to Book a Trip to Morocco

If you’re looking for a travel destination that offers history, culture, and natural beauty all in one place, then Morocco is the place for you! These 20 photos will show you some of the best this amazing country offers.
From the ancient cities of Fes and Marrakech to the stunning landscape of the Sahara Desert, Morocco has something for everyone.
For this trip, I was so excited to take 11 ladies with me for my first (of many, I hope) group trips under my new brand, Jetset Trips .

One cool thing that sets my trips apart? I’m not only your host but also your photographer! All my guests get all the digital files of the photos I take throughout the trip and a personalized photo book sent to them a few weeks later. So you can come on my trip, enjoy the moment, and let me capture your memories!
Want to travel with me on my next group trip? The next women’s adventure trips are Iceland and a Lapland Northern Lights expedition! You can see my current group trip offerings here.

Now let’s recap how Morocco went!
Our first stop was Chefchaouen , which, wow, is quite the photo opportunity.
Chefchaouen is a stunning city in Morocco that deserves to be seen. The entire town is painted in shades of blue, giving it an almost surreal feel. Everywhere you turn, vibrant colors pop against the white-washed walls and cobblestone streets. Strolling through this ancient medina feels like stepping into a dream world!

Our next stop was Fes , the third-largest city in Morocco and one of the oldest living cities in the world. This ancient city is known for its vibrant ceramics, textiles, and artisanship. The entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it’s easy to see why – everywhere you look, there’s a stunning piece of history waiting to be discovered. To truly experience Fes, you have to walk its winding alleyways and take it all in – from the fragrant smell of spices to the colorful markets full of treasures. It’s an incredible place to explore!

And then came the highlight of our trip – journeying into the Sahara . We stayed out amongst the sand dunes at Merzouga Luxury Desert Camps, took an ATV ride across the dunes, and took a sunset camel ride to finish it off. Some of us even got up early to hike the dunes at sunrise for some epic photos. We also drove out to visit the nomadic Berbers and have a traditional lunch with them, as well as experience the live music of the region.

Another highlight of the trip was Ait Ben Haddou . This UNESCO-listed site is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat and famous for being used as a backdrop in many well-known films (think Gladiator and Game of Thrones). We managed to avoid the crowds by visiting during early golden hour, which made for some incredible photos. We also stayed nearby at the beautiful Hotel Riad Ksar Ighnda, which felt like staying in a desert palace.

Last but not least, our trip came to an end in Marrakech . We explored the bustling souks of the medina, experienced a hammam (a first for most of the trip – it’s a Moroccan spa), and took some beautiful portraits at Le Jardin Majorelle and the YSL Museum. I could honestly spend days in Marrakech just with all the shopping alone!

All in all, my first group trip was an absolute success – I’m so thankful for all the amazing memories we made together! Morocco was a dream come true.
Happy travels!
